This issue is resolved in Magics 28.07, Magics 29.1.2 and Magics 30.01, and by Microsoft Windows update KB5101650

Our investigation showed that the issue was triggered by Windows update KB5094126, which impacts certain third-party applications using Microsoft Office / Word automation. This also affected Magics Word report generation.
This issue is resolved by upgrading to Magics 28.07, Magics 29.1.2 or Magics 30.01. In addition, it is confirmed that the Microsoft 14 July 2026 Windows cumulative update KB5101650 also resolves the underlying Windows issue, including for Magics 30.0.0 and MiniMagics Pro.
Issue description
Magics Word reports may generate documents with empty or unexpanded values, instead of a fully populated report. This affects all Magics versions released before 25 June 2026 (including Magics 30.0.0 and MiniMagics Pro). Excel reports are however not affected.
Cause
This issue was linked to Windows update KB5094126. Microsoft has also acknowledged that this update introduced issues for certain third-party applications using Office automation.
Resolution
For regular Magics users, this issue is resolved in Magics 28.07, Magics 29.1.2 and Magics 30.01. It is also resolved by installing Microsoft Windows cumulative update KB5101650 (released on 14 July 2026), which fixes the underlying Windows issue, including for Magics 30.0.0 and MiniMagics Pro.
