1. Open the software for the first time. The Materialise License Wizard appears automatically.
2. Click MANAGE LICENSES.
3. Choose Activate local license.
   
4. Enter your Activation ID in the field (Enter here an activation ID that you received via email). To activate more than one, paste them together — they split automatically — or click + ADD MORE to add another field.
5. Click ACTIVATE. A confirmation appears; scroll through the features list and click Finish.

✅ Done — your software is ready to use.

You'll move two files between the offline PC and an internet-connected device, for example using a USB stick.

Before you begin: You need access to the Materialise End-User Portal on an internet-connected device. Don't have portal access? Ask your organization's license administrator, or see About the Materialise End-User Portal.

On the offline PC:

1. Open the software for the first time. The Materialise License Wizard appears automatically.
2. Click MANAGE LICENSES.
3. Choose Activate local license.

   The wizard generates LicenseRequest.bin — save it to a device you can transfer from, such as a USB stick.

On a device with internet access:

6. Sign in to the Materialise End-User Portal.
7. Select Offline License (De)activation.
8. For Upload type, choose Generate license or confirm license reduction or return.
9. Upload LicenseRequest.bin.
10. Download the generated capabilityResponse.bin file and transfer it back to the offline PC.
     

Back on the offline PC:

11. Return to the Materialise License Wizard.
12. Click MANAGE LICENSES → Upload response file from End-User Portal.
13. Upload capabilityResponse.bin, then click Finish.
    

✅ Done — your software is ready to use.
