Point this PC at the Floating License Server so it can check out a shared license. Do this on each PC that will run the software.

Before you begin: install the software first (Step 1), and get the server's host name (or IP address) and port (default 7070) from your license administrator.

Connect to the License Server

1. Open the software. The Materialise License Wizard appears automatically.
2. Click MANAGE LICENSES, then choose Add server connection. The Add a new floating license server connection screen opens.
   
3. Enter the License Server details:
   Host name or IP address — if you're on the License Server computer, enter localhost. On a workstation, enter the host name or IP address of the License Server computer.
   Port — keep the default 7070, unless your administrator provided a different port.
   
4. Click CONNECT. When the connection succeeds, the License Server appears in the list with its Status showing Active.
5. Close the Materialise License Wizard. The software launches automatically.

✅ Done — the workstation is connected to the License Server and ready to use.
