About the Materialise End-User Portal

The Materialise End-User Portal is a self-service tool for managing your organization's Materialise licenses. In the portal, a license is called an entitlement — the two mean the same thing. Day-to-day, only license administrators need it; most end users don't use the portal at all and simply activate their software with the Activation ID emailed to them when a license is issued.

You can reach it at materialise.flexnetoperations.eu.

What you can do in the portal

  • View your organization's licenses — see the entitlements assigned to your organization and their details.
  • Find your Activation ID — look up the 32-character code needed to activate an ID-based license. See Find your ID-based license and Activation ID.
  • Activate offline — generate the license files needed to activate a license on a computer or server without internet access.
  • View connected devices — see the workstations and servers that currently hold your licenses (local activations and floating License Servers).
  • Manage portal users — Portal Admins can add and manage other users.

Who needs to use it

Day-to-day, only license administrators need the portal. A normal end user activates their software with the Activation ID they receive by email and never has to log in.

Portal roles: Admins and Users

Portal access comes in two roles:

  • Portal Admin — manages licenses and devices, and can add, edit, and remove other users (both Admins and Users).
  • Portal User — manages licenses and devices, but cannot manage other users.

The first Portal Admin is designated during the sales agreement; after that, Portal Admins create the other accounts. For the full breakdown of what each role can do, see Manage End-User Portal users.
